ABOUT NIKIA WELLS
Nikia is a Grand Bahama native who has always had a passion for storytelling. Her love for writing and sharing the stories of others eventually led her to a career in public relations, communications and writing. Throughout her career, she has worked with companies like the Grand Lucayan Resort and the Bahamas Telecommunications Company Ltd. (BTC).
After completing her graduate degree in Strategic Public Relations at George Washington University, she joined the Caribbean Bottling Company (Coca-Cola Bahamas) team as their Communications Marketing Manager, where she also served as the Communications Marketing Manager for their sister company, Caribbean Wines and Spirits. She was also the graphic artist for both companies, and the Executive Producer of the CWS sponsored “The Sip” television show, which airs nationally on ILTV.
In addition to her passion for communications, Nikia also shares her love for local and international exploration, entertainment and the culinary world as a freelance writer and via her passion project called Pinksands 242, which she launched in 2014. Her freelance writing work can currently be seen in the Bahamasair in-flight magazine called “Up & Away”, as well as several other publications.
